Leather Care Guide
With proper care, your leather jacket will continue to get better with age. This guide contains all the information you need to extend the life of your 100% genuine leather products.
Basic Care
Daily Care
To ensure the longevity of your leather jacket, it's enough to adopt a few daily habits. There's no need for a complex care routine — respecting the natural properties of leather is the most important step.
After Each Use
- Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth
- Store on a broad-shouldered hanger
- Use the dust bag provided with the product
- Never store folded
Once a Month
- Remove dust and dirt with a soft-bristled brush
- Apply leather conditioner
- Check zippers and snaps
- Hang in a well-ventilated area for a few hours
Cleaning
Cleaning and Stain Removal
Light Stains
Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth using circular motions. Then dry with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use wet wipes or alcohol-based cleaners.
Stubborn Stains
Use a special leather cleaning lotion. Test it first on an inconspicuous area. After cleaning, always apply leather conditioner.
Oil Stains
Sprinkle cornstarch or talcum powder over the stain and let it sit overnight. The next day, brush off with a soft brush. Repeat if necessary.
Ink Stains
Dab a small amount of isopropyl alcohol onto a cotton cloth and gently go over the stain. Then wipe with a damp cloth and apply conditioner.
Moisturizing
Leather Moisturizing and Protection
Leather, just like our skin, needs moisturizing. Regular moisturizing helps the leather maintain its flexibility, prevent cracking, and preserve its natural luster.
Clean
Wipe the surface with a soft cloth before moisturizing.
Test
Test the cream on an inconspicuous area.
Apply
Spread a thin layer in circular motions.
Let Dry
Hang to dry overnight.
The frequency of moisturizing depends on your usage intensity and the climate you are in. General rule: If you see light lines when you gently stretch the leather with your fingers, it's time to moisturize.
Weather Conditions
Protection from Water and Weather Conditions
If It Gets Wet in the Rain
- Hang the wet jacket on a hanger at room temperature
- Let it air dry naturally
- Do not use a hairdryer, radiator, or direct sunlight
- Apply conditioner once completely dry
Prevention
- Apply a leather-specific water repellent spray (at the beginning of the season)
- Spray in a well-ventilated area, from a distance of 20–30 cm
- Renew protection after each wash/cleaning
- Avoid wearing a leather jacket in heavy rain
Storage
Proper Storage Methods
When you are not using your leather jacket (especially during summer months), proper storage is critical to maintain its shape and quality.
Do
- Hang on a wide, padded shoulder hanger
- Place in a dust bag (provided with the product)
- Store in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry closet
- Clean and moisturize before storing
- Close zippers and snaps
Don't
- Do not store in a plastic cover or bag — leather needs to breathe
- Do not store folded — this will create permanent creases
- Do not use thin wire hangers — they will deform the shoulder area
- Do not leave in a humid place or direct sunlight
- Do not let it come into contact with mothballs or moth repellents
What You Should Know
The Natural Aging of Leather (Patina)
High-quality genuine leather develops a unique character over time — this is called "patina." As it is worn, the leather softens, conforms to your body, and develops subtle color variations. This is a characteristic that no synthetic material can offer, and it truly makes your leather jacket unique to you.
Slight vein marks, minor tonal differences, or natural imperfections visible on the surface of genuine leather are indicators that the leather is real and natural. These features are not flaws but details that make each product unique.
